BiSHA Team Great Britain Trials 2005

BiSHA will be holding trials for this year's Senior and Junior Team Great Britain squads, as follows:

  • JUNIOR TRIALS

  • Saturday 9th July 2005
    10:00 - 14:00 (register 09:00)
    Queens Road Ice RInk, Sheffield
    Cost: £4.00

  • SENIOR TRIALS

  • Saturday 9th July 2005
    16:00 - 19:00 (register 15:00)
    Queens Road Ice RInk, Sheffield
    Cost: £4.00

The selection process will be looking for 14 senior players and 15 junior players to represent BiSHA and Great Britain at iiSHF European Championships in Kaarst, Germany during October 2005.

Each region have been requested to provide names of suitable players of 'national team standard' to attend the trials alongside the players who been pre-selected to attend the trials:

One 'Sport Court' rink, changing rooms, cafe and The Hockey Hut shop. On-site parking available.

Directions (from North): Take M1 to Junction 34 (Meadowhall), exit motorway and take 3rd exit at roundabout onto Tinsley Viaduct (motorway above). At end of Viaduct take 5th exit at roundabout onto A6109 Meadowhall Road (signs 'Sheffield') and straight ahead at next roundabout (Premier Lodge on left). Follow A6109 signs 'city centre' past HallamFM Arena, IceSheffield, onto Brightside Lane. After traffic lights then take left hand lane onto Attercliffe Road (A6178). After 0.5 miles, under arched bridge and continue forward onto Wicker (A6178) then left onto Blonk Street (one-way) and continue forward onto Exchange Place. At Park Square roundabout take 4th exit onto Sheaf Street (signed 'Ring Road, Chesterfield & Railway Station'). Pong Forge on right. As you pass railway station (on left) take 1st left off traffic light roundabout along A61 (look out for small sign for 'Ice Rink'). Keep ahead on A61 Suffolk Road (signs 'A61') pass McDonalds on left then you should see Mecca Bingo Hall on left, turn left at traffic lights prior to B&Q into Duchess Road. After 50 yds left into Queens Road Ice Rink car park.

Directions (from South): Take M1 to Junction 33, leave motorway and take 1st exit at roundabout A630. Take A630 signs 'Sheffield & City Centre' onto A57 Parkway. At Park Square roundabout take exit onto Sheaf Street (signed 'Ring Road, Chesterfield & Railway Station'). Pong Forge on right.
